Biology is my lifelong love and undergrad degree. I'm also particularly fond of Australia and the American mid/west. Someday I'll move to the antipodes and farm potoroos, but in the meantime I'm a freelance scientific illustrator based in California [My profile pic sea-kangaroo though is courtesy of @cinnamon325!]. I've learned a lot of cool stuff and met a lot of cool people through iNaturalist. If you want travel tips somewhere I've been or are a scientist/researcher/otherwise contributing to conservation or human knowledge and I can assist in some way, please drop me a line and I will be delighted to provide whatever data or help I can.
For underwater photography I'm currently using a Sony RX100 in a Fantasea housing with an Inon S2000 strobe. Or just an old bare Olympus TG4. For land/intertidal macro I use a Panasonic G9 with an Olympus m.zuiko 60mm F2.8 lens and a Godox TT350 external flash. I like all of these lines a lot and recommend them.
