Besides the ant on the right, also taking sap from this wound on a Goodding's Willow were a bruchid (on left), a drosophila-like fly, paper wasps, and long-jawed longhorn beetles,
What a wonderful day of birding at Choke Canyon State Park! The spotted rail was the main 'bird of interest,' but lots of other neat birds showed up too. :)
