Refound in large pine between children's play area and river (tree has an electrical box at the base).
Beak seems curved but shorter than a whimbrels... but there is some distance so phone might not be getting a clear capture.
This is the smallest Dreamy Duskywing I've ever seen. From a distance I thought it was a Two-banded Checkered Skipper.
Very short bill, darker cap and check, buffy breast, plain gray back with no rufous tones. Subtly warmer overall than westerns.
