PPG I follows Ebihara et al. (2006) in separating the Abrodictyum clade from Trichomanes sensu lato. Abrodictyum boninense Tagawa & K.Iwats. and Abrodictyum kalimantanense (K.Iwats. & M.Kato) are unplaced names in POWO, and therefore not mapped here, although POWO considers Trichomanes boninense Koidz. a synonym of Trichomanes latealatum (Bosch) Christ. POWO also lumps Abrodictyum meifolium and Abrodictyum parviflorum into Trichomanes parviflorum, which are treated as distinct here and in Ebihara et al. (2006).
