This species of the crassa group is black with brown and cream markings and is not closely related to any known species. It is told from other Thyllis by the evenly darkened wing, the bicoulored postpronotal lobes (creamy yellow are broad entire anterior margins, the posterior outer margins of prothoracic lobes are light brown) and the striking, broad, bright yellow prothoracic fascia, as well as the rugose integument.
Length: 7 mm; wing length 6 mm.
