As of today (4/1/23) we have jointly observed 118 orchid species in 722 observations.
@ludwig_muller has 303 observations and 81 species

Ren found Disa vasselotii at a new site, and I found Disa ocellata at a new site. Other new sites were found for Satyrium pallens (Ren), Disa schizodioides (Ren), Disa spathulata (Ren), Disa glandulosa (Ren) and Liparis capensis (Ludwig).
Old sites we rediscovered included Disa uncinata (Justin) and Satyrium rupestre (Ren). In both cases Bill Liltved knew of these locations and mentioned them in the Cape Orchids. Please join the vote as to who takes the cake with "Find of the year".
For the previous competition, by the end of December we had reached 608 observations and 101 species.
