As a professional mycologist I have a particular interest in truffles & truffle-like fungi, their taxonomy, biogeography and relationships to the various lineages of mushrooms, punks, boletes, paint-smears (resupinate polypores), and cup fungi. I am also fascinated by the interactions between different groups of organisms, particularly fungi & trying to capture these moments in illustrations, photos and descriptions, for both general and scientific audiences.
