Software engineer by trade, and a longtime outdoors enthusiast, in 2004 I started uploading pictures taken around Las Vegas to Wikipedia. At first just including the plants in botanical gardens (because labelled), I graduated to photography in nature, which meant learning enough botany to accurately identify what was in the picture!

After uploading some 9000 photos by 2010, I burned out a bit and set it aside, but in 2021 moved to Bradenton Florida, and am having fun learning a completely new and different flora...
