I am a conservation biologist with a M.S. in Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Ecology from New Mexico State University. I conducted my thesis work on predicting migratory pathways for nectarivorous bats by integrating species distribution models of forage resources derived from herbaria records (mainly plants of Cactaceae, Bombacaceae, and sub-genus Agave), and have spent several years mapping the distribution of Agave palmeri and monitoring plant phenology. I currently lead an Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring (AIM) crew in the BLM Las Cruces District office and am fascinated by the Chihuahuan Desert. I am an aspiring pollination ecologist and hope to start a seed farm focused on native pollinator plants to enhance pollinator corridors in the southwestern U.S.
