Life-long interest in birds, butterflies, mammals when I see them, and photography; more recent interest in odonata and herps; dabble with a few more obscure invertebrates. Life-long struggle with botany. Involved with various bird survey projects (Christmas Bird Counts, Breeding Bird Surveys, Breeding Bird Atlases). Edited The Birds of Manitoba book, former Prairie Provinces regional co-editor for North American Birds. Assorted natural history articles, mostly in the regional journal Blue Jay and Nature Manitoba News.
