I'm the Manager of the National Ecosystem Science Lab in Parks Canada's Office of the Chief Ecosystem Scientist. I'm an ecologist and conservation scientist by training. I live in Dartmouth, NS where I love to explore nature in my backyard and neighbourhood with my wife and 2 children. I grew up in the woods and love visiting protected areas. I 'specialize' in birds, but I use eBird for that. Here you'll find everything else that interests me, mostly arthropods, plants (vascular & non-vascular), fungi and lichens.
