I currently work as the Biodiversity Data Specialist at the California Academy of Science's Center for Biodiversity & Community Science. My job is to take iNaturalist observations of coastal (mostly intertidal) organisms (mostly collected through Snapshot Cal Coast bioblitzes) and use them in species distribution models to help forecast changes in species distributions and ranges that may occur with climate change. I do try and collect some iNaturalist observations of my own, too!

I created a little web app to help folks search for daytime low tides for tidepooling on the California coast and download them as calendar events. Try it out here.
