I have spent over 35 years in the mountains and high deserts of Colorado until the last few years but am a native of KY. I was a Nature (Hiking) Guide and climber in the Aspen, CO area for most of these years. I spent as much time above treeline (11,000') as I could in those years, leading nature hikes and climbing all the 14ers and became very familiar with the flora and fauna of the tundra. I like trying to ID plants in all places I go and am trying now to familiarize myself with the flora of KY. I am also an avid birder. Ebird and iNaturalist are wonderful tools to work with and I like being a citizen scientist.
