I am an avid naturalist and horticulturist by hobby in the New York tri-state area. Because I enjoy hiking, most of my experience is with local flora. One of my other interests is in the applications of plants, primarily their edibility, and as a result, their toxicity or basic medicinal value. Additional areas of interest include alga, mollusks, ticks, aquatic life, and microscopic life. I use a Swift sw350t 40x-2500x for microscopy. I appreciate all input and corrections to my IDs.
