What a strange area. The Tessaria plants (if that's what they even are) that grow there all look different. Some look like Tessaria fastigiata, some look like Tessaria dodonaeifolia, some look like Pluchea, and others look like combinations of all three.

I even see what looks like a striped stem, characteristic of Pluchea microcephala, on this observation: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/109593655.

There's definitely some funky stuff going on here!

There are so many plants that look like her. Plucheas, Baccharises, random plants here and there.

I can usually tell when someone's not Tessaria, but sometimes I have a hard time telling who is. I especially have a hard time with the different types of Tessaria, especially when I think someone might be Tessaria ambigua. I can barely find any information online about her – fitting.

One day I will know all the terms to properly describe these plants and identify them as such. Until then, I just have to be okay with not knowing.
