I was born and raised on this beach. We had a seawall with steps that went from our backyard to the beach.50 years ago, Moon Jellies would show up by the thousands, in the last 20 years, Atlantic Lions Mane Jellies come and the Moon Jellies have disappeared decades ago. Last night, for the first time in my 68 years of coming to this beach I saw these for the first time. They have red & green lights that move around the outside of their bodies and a couple that move inside their bodies. The green light is a light they give off as one big flash.
