Found this little guy on a dusty gravel road, just sitting still. I wasn't sure if he was actually alive at first, but he moved when I poked him. About half an inch long.
Found several of these guys hanging out on some severely chewed lupines, and I'm betting the beetles were the source of the leaf damage. A separate observation for the plants can be found here: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/93764868
