Not even sure it is Juncaceae, though appears to have perianth and capsule typical of the family. Does not seem to match any species of either Juncus or Luzula listed in PlantNET for NSW Southern Tablelands.
A sedge that was growing out of a hollow stump at the start of the Mount Ku-ring-gai to Berowra Station track.
