A large patch of mugworts growing near and around a fallen coast live oak trunk. Many more can be found in and around the creek nearby, as well as some more in the adjacent woodlands areas.
A very large (>two dozen) thicket of Parish's stream lupines in various stages of development (flower budding, flowering, and fruiting) and of various sizes. Growing in and around a small depression draining down into a stream nearby.
The subspecies can be readily determined by the hot pink- to purple-colored flowers, relatively long inflorescences, relatively large/wide leaves, and the hollow stems (one of which I found broken off and took a picture of).
