At least 6 individuals (min) observed. Were actively jumping around the short trees. Relatively at eye level and even came down to the ground. Realised that its backside is white in colour instead of red

Juvenile. Adult is more elongated. Also referred to as Mangrove Shield Bug or Mangrove Stink Bug. Larvae are found only on Buta Buta trees (Excoecaria algallocha), also known as Blind-your-eye or River Poison tree, where they feed on developing seeds. Buta means blind in Malay.
