Note that the pores are not as far up the fruiting capsule as expected for "apex".
Found in the middle of a wooded footpath leading from a parking area down to the creek. Not in bloom.
Not flowering yet. I'm not sure this plant is mature enough to ID. Some pores are round, others elliptical with wide margins. Could be T. lamprosperma or T. biflora. Collected to get a better look later. 26 inches tall. In a partly shaded wooded area along a footpath. Didn't find any in open areas along fences or the road.
Woodland margin at edge of upland prairie remnant. Pore near apex of capsule. Plants annual.
This was first seen in 2015 in this location. It is again blooming in the same spot 2020/06/05
