Resting 4th instar larva on mesquite; feeds primarily on the flower heads; Arizona Trail, Sahuarita trailhead
Road fatality
On a red Malabar spinach plant in my garden.
Found dead in the bottom of our rain gauge.
Found dead on ground in administrative area.
Poor photo. But two crossed the street, and I videoed them going through our neighbors back yard and into ours.
Big hole on each side of brain case. Either bullet hole (unlikely because away from visitor areas in National Park) or mountain lion canines. Young coyote.
Not whitetail deer habitat. Forked tine.
Drinking out of our bird bath.
Feeding on lantana flowers in our yard. About half inch long.
Cement blocks are about 8 inches by 16 inches. Snake therefore is about 18 inches long.
Rescued from a hummingbird feeder. Note tip of pen for scale.
Collected in our house. Three photos of the insect and 1 photo of its bite, after 3 days.
Assumed roadkill right on the other side of the berm from Sandario rd.
