Around 200 observations from the Corsica holiday will be posted within the next weeks. This particular observation is from the last day, on the way back home. Just a quick photo during the city walk.
Frankly speaking, these gals are everywhere on the island of Corse. The coastal populations are supercolonial, while the mountain populations have varying colony sizes. The truly isolated wild populations with monodomous to lightly polydomous colonies should all be T. nigerrimum, while most on this island are T. darioi and T. magnum, presumably.
4-segmented antennal club and propodeal spines very long. This is a very dominant species on Corse next to Tapinoma nigerrimum group.
