This herbaceous plant was low-growing, soft-stemmed, and had rounded, triangular leaves. The flowers were soft purple in color. These were a frequent sight in the lower Chaparral.
The succulents were very large, with large, thick, blue-green, needle-like leaves. They all grew outwards from a center core. Alongside the living individuals was the long stalk of a fallen yucca. This is the primary large succulent of the San Gabriels, these ones growing out of the rocky Chaparral.
The creeping vine was very fresh, with large, lobed green leaves and prosperous white blooms. These constantly were seen climbing up the trees and shrubs in the Chaparral ecosystem.
