We found this small silver/gray snake being eaten by ants in our yard. We collected the bones. Any thoughts on what it might have been?
Small isopod found in freshly watered dirt. More than 6 legs, and an armored armadillo like body. Light brown color with two antennae.

Fell prey to an American Kestrel (152203200)
Missing most of lower mandible. Can grab and hold with stub. Has overwintered - last seen June 2022. Possibly paired: another one arrived and they were talkative then both left S above roof flying closely (coincidentally there's tram cables on the way).
NOTE: There's several pictures where peak is open, but that's not typical way it moved, I just selected more such pictures where injury is visible.
