~6" long, very lively!
Found hiding in the soil under a large granite rock under a shady tree. Though easily grabbed, tried to escape by wriggling vigorously. Didn't tire itself out quickly and wiggled the whole time I was holding it (~5 min. as I was trying to get a clear picture of it).
Also gaped its mouth at me, which was adorable.

Katy TX, Cinco Ranch, June this year. She was inside the water, trying to hide from us, just letting her head been seen. It was not full grown, maybe less than a foot long. Thanks
