Shocker photos of a rare wasp. Taeniogonalos tenebrosa. I've included them for the record. This is an endemic Tasmanian wasp that I've now seen three times. I saw this in the early evening and there was a stiff breeze. The low light and movement, combined with an awkward place on the bush had hopeless consequences for the 3 photos the wasp tolerated.
This isn't in the iNaturalist database.
Always great to find this Tas endemic species, and this trip I photographed two, and saw a third. Taeniogonalos tenebrosa (but iNaturalist doesn't seem to have it listed.)
Flying in and out of hole in hose reel and landing on the ground nearby.

Ichneumonid wasp, black with orange legs, antennae and collar (Echthromorpha intricatoria)
Maybe. Thought it was Hylaeinae at first. However head sharp and antenna length differ.
