This specimen is the largest adult female Virile Crayfish I've ever caught and released in the stream near my high school. She is in berry and is a very healthy individual.

Another large male Virile Crayfish, caught and released in the stream near my high school. It is a form I male, and its left cheliped has an oddly shaped daftyl, similar to that of Faxonius Immunis. This male was also covered in muck, and also was showing signs that it is preparing to molt soon.
Pretty cool find!

An adult male Virile Crayfish, caught and released in the stream near my high school. It is Form I, has two non-regenerated chelipeds, and is overall very healthy. Slightly odd coloration on this specimen as well.

A juvenile male Virile Crayfish that I recorded going through the process of shedding its exoskeleton. Measured about 1 inch before shedding. Process took about 20 minutes in total. Released after photography.
