Growing under a Eucalyptus tree
Near pine trees. First 3 photos are one smaller mushroom (in reverse order of physical disassembly), next 3 photos are another larger mushroom nearby. I think they're the same species.
Growing on a corticate, recently-dead, fallen hardwood. Spines flattened and formed from the splitting of irregularly-shaped pores. Context white. This is a pretty decent make for S. pulcherrimus other than growing on dead wood, but the tree was recently dead/fallen, so this may have started growing on a living tree.
Podoserpula pusio var. tristis on woody debris and leaf litter under silver beech (Lophozonia menziesii)
Growing on Darwins Barberry. Has been growing on this tree for many years. My first photo of this cut off trunk seems to be /observations/6604918 from 2008.
