On cultivated Quercus alba, The Morton Arboretum, living collections accession 2131-29*3
Emerged sometime between 6/18 and 6/20. Had them in a ziploc, they didn't like it and they seem to have flattened

Very common around Pinetop AZ on what I take to be Quercus gambelii. See also https://inaturalist.ca/observations/241791821
This is a picture of Phytomyza loewii on a clematis at Northwest Regional Park in Owings Mills, Maryland.
My guess would be a Keri’s moth, but I am not sure. Some of the way that the leaf was eaten reminds me more of Phyllonorycter. On Southern Arrowwood.
Unsure of leaf as it was found on the ground. Possibly Cornus? Seemed underdeveloped. In any case, no idea what this is. Very woolly.
9/12/24 Update: dissected to find wasps in small chambers. Could possibly be parasites.
Rough estimate 1cm long
One adult emerged in the rearing container sometime between 8/30 - 9/10. Stem galls were collected from Doellingeria ledophylla (Cascade Aster) on 2024/08/07. See gall observation: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/234466095
