There were four individuals here, including two in a wheel,. This population seems to be resident as I’ve had them here the past four years. Very likely my earliest ever.
Black and white barred underwing and undertail, double wing flash, short, blunt central rects, heavy bodied and broad winged. Lazily moving south onshore with HERG.
terrible light but great bird :)
This was a heavily debated bird. On the sight it was identified as a pom, but other skilled birders lean towards PAJA. Not sure myself.

Female ovipositing in wet meadow, which is now fen-like. Male patrolling nearby. Horrible pic but it’s the best I have so far.
