Feather from one of a group of the same birds observed feeding on a cervid carcass. (Waiting for photo of carcass from a friend) I did not see the birds myself unfortunately as they were accidentally scared away from the carcass by a group of people

While enjoying some quiet time with the owlet, the male suddenly leaps off the branch and flies off the frame.

the Female was perched behind me 10 meters off the ground when she left the perch and rammed her oldest/biggest owlet clear off its perch.
the Owlet was falling toward some twiggy bushes. It made use of its talons to stop itself 3 meters off the ground. The owlet had an uncontrolled but slow and uneventful drop to the ground.
After the female left chasing crows, the male perched next to the owlet for some quality time.
