I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out what kind of caterpillar this is. It has a white line that runs down the center of its back. It also has what I would describe as eye markings that are blue and they run down both sides of it.
This snake was found inside the house. It also gave me the second snakebite I have ever received (at least that draw blood, I don't think a really mad garter snake counts). Its punishment? It had to let me take more pictures than I have taken of any other Coachwhip previously. I find myself fascinated with the eyes. The pattern (dark below the pupil, light above) is so unique. I noticed this in a previous observation but it's still interesting.
Both hybrids seemed to be males by the slight green iridescence on the back of their heads. They were dabbling for food with a group of American Black Ducks in a inlet off the rocky coast.
