I watched as a larger specimen of this wasp fought with this Badge Huntsman, before paralysing it and dragging it up this Ironbark to its mate in the photo for de-limbing and presumably laying an egg upon. When I came back with a better camera 10 minutes later, the wasp and spider had disappeared, but the larger wasp kept coming back, searching the bark crevices and ground below, apparently looking for them. It happened on a mature planted Ironbark amidst Plains Grassy Woodland vegetation on VVP at Bannockburn Bush Nature Conservation Reserve.
