Parent being closely followed by a juvenile. But for the length and thickness of tail, had I seen the juvenile on own I believe I would have tended towards one of the mouse species in area!
Seen looking for dropped food below our hanging bird-feeders. We tend to only feed from hanging or otherwise inaccessible feeders if possible, for the very reason that otherwise more rats from the surrounding fields tend to come into the garden!
Noted that this fox carries some partial melanism.
From data collected by Black Foxes UK, it is suspected that these foxes will carry traits from wild UK foxes and escaped captive bred North American red foxes (silver foxes).
