9 mm nose to body rear. Found in water dipped from amongst the vegetation along the edge of a pond. This larva was living in a debris tunnel it had built. The tunnel is shown in one of the photos. After it immerged from the tunnel, it was swimming underwater..
Looks more like a Psychomyia, but keys out as a Rhyacophila with sclerite on tergite ix, by no secondary claw, and a comb on claw like a Psychomia???

4.5 mm in length. I found it in water dipped from a drainage ditch in a former boggy area. I photographed it while it was swimming underwater.
