Seen basking on a log just off the bank of Buffalo Bayou. Saw an additional specimen just upstream, but could not get a good photograph

Found while netting in ponds at the Katy Prairie

Found seining in a tiny pond at Katy Prairie. 40s. Cold. Very cold.

Normally in pond, walked out and hanging out in yard. Wild, not pet. Seems to be trying to lay eggs, but not really safest place.
