one of those things that's probably been in front of my face for the more than a decade I've been taking photos of the Tuatara in Zealandia, yet couldn't see them until I knew they existed.

Note all photos with 630mm effective lens, from tuatara sunbathing in the fenced area. No opportunities to take some horrifying macro photos :D
