Ammophila in flight with caterpillar. I could actually hear the plop as it hit the ground heavily each time to rest. It never flew more than about 25 cm above the surface.

the fly was on a window, trying to get outside. In the last two photos it got some cobwebs on its wings, which is why they are bent toward each other. It freed itself from the cobwebs.
