Growing along the Siphon Draw trail, in the lower elevation part of the Canyon.
The black background photos are from what I presume is a different individual of the same species growing closer to the start of the trail (the observation is geotagged to the location of the in situ pics).

• Leaves laciniate with large teeth
• Leaf lobes with arched-sigmoid distal margins

• Petioles winged
• Midrib green-reddish
• Capitulum ~4cm across, pollen present
• Exterior involucral bracts corniculate, ~2-3mm wide by ~9-10mm long, suffused red/purple, with hyaline margins.
• Achenes light chestnut colored.
