Juvenile. Low 60’s temperature wise at 1:29pm. The high was forecasted to be 60. Felt nice while moving in the sun, but standing still it was a little cool. The snake was at the top of a rocky hill, where there was a breeze which made it feel cooler. Never moved or rattled, but it did stick its tongue out! Pretty cool to see it today! My first snake sighting of 2024.

This rattlesnake had obviously recently captured and eaten its prey - noting the bulge in mid-section.

I counted about 10 rattles on the tail - but this does not equate to age of rattlesnake.
