We counted 46 Trumpeter Swans in three groups along Center Rd., including three juveniles, as seen in the first photo. Seven of the swans flew in V formation right over the road, heading south. Location is approximate.

We saw just one Tufted Puffin near Protection Island. We were far away in a boat; this is zoomed and cropped.

Found a nest in neighbor’s fuschia plant with these little baby birds inside. Parent bird appears to guard the nest in the morning and evenings and sometimes during the day, flying around and chirping angrily from the roof if you are anywhere in the area.

Only the second time I've found Corambe steinbergae (Steinberg's Corambe), on Membranipora villosa (Kelp-encrusting Bryozoan).
