Damaged. Looked like it had been pecked by a bird or something. On the ground and easy to catch.

Continuing female consistently diving; drab black-brown head and back, gray/white flanks, small tuft, no white around base of bill.

Two or three individuals foraging on a decomposing American shrew-mole; produced a "buzzing" sort of noise while foraging, which allowed me to locate them.
