Oceanic dolphins are a diverse group of marine mammals belonging to the family Delphinidae. Known for their intelligence, social behavior, and acrobatic displays, dolphins inhabit oceans and seas worldwide. They are characterized by a streamlined body, a dorsal fin, and a highly developed brain. Dolphins are carnivorous, feeding on fish and squid, and are known for their sophisticated communication using clicks, whistles, and body language.

Presumably a Great Egret x Great Blue Heron Hybrid. I was going through some old trip photos and noticed this guy. Originally assumed Reddish Egret, but the gape length clearly puts this bird in Ardea.

With Valeri Ponzo; Val's first visit, so I wanted to get her a lifer moth (I think I succeeded). We stayed west of the road and checked out the some of the butterfly and moth eggs and larvae that I found earlier. We found four new Yucca Giant-Skipper eggs, with one already hatched. The weather at the start was sunny, 52 degrees, and breezy. We left at 1346 and headed to North Shore Park in St. Petersburg for a life bird for each of us!
