I found two more gray squirrels with varying degrees of brownish tan coloration. Posting both in addition to the original I posted earlier. Seems there might be an aberrant coloration within this university population.

This squirrel actually has me a little confused. It looked slightly smaller than the gray squirrels running around, and I noticed the color was more reddish. Is it actually a different species, or just a different variation?

Early this spring I observed an albino grey squirrel 2 blocks west. I wa;ked by several times after but never saw it again. THis particular morning this one was in my neighbors' yards, moving from yard to yard -- front to back. Hard to say whether this boy was the same squirrel. Of interest are its rusty-colored forepaws. Reminds me of a dog that licks its paws too much leaving a saliva stain on its fur.
