First snake of the year! Was not expecting to see a snake today. 39 degrees F, overcast, cold watersnake.

Well, this was a completely unexpected find with @evercraftforest . A southern ringneck snake in upstate NY! At the time we thought it was a northern, but after closer inspection of photos we realized that because of the row of spots on the underside and broken ring around the neck, it must be a southern. What do you think?

This Green frog has axanthism on its head which is a mutation that causes a lack of yellow pigmentation which results in a blue appearance
