The noisiest family to have as neighbors. Two mated adults teaching two juveniles how to soak their food in water.

Likely predated by an American River Otter

Washed up on shoreline, dead and with eggs.

I found several of these on the beach. According to my field guide, these mollusks are native to the east coast, but not Texas. I wonder how they ended up here.

Found in the compost pile.
