A large, brilliantly coloured wasp fossicking around a clump of grass in search of something.

Field Notes - a beautiful hornet about 2 to 3 cm long. it was walking over the sand and going down any holes.

Great Orange Huntsman Wasp

Wasp was feeding from Eucalyptus todtiana. blossom

With prey, dragging the paralysed spider to its nesting burrow. These are photos, but we also have video of the whole exercise.

Complete with spider!

Was carrying spider and then dropped it and came back for it.

She was trying to walk across the creek so I think she must have had a spider somewhere and looking for a way across with it

two individuals were collected from inflorescences of Banksia sessilis.

On Kunzea ambigua flowers. Yellow markings on head beside/behind eyes.
