Back in the day when I got this shot, I was suspicious of the cats behavior and its location as well, not a lot ot houses & a village close by. The cat was hunting, made several attempts and succeeded in one, disappeared in to the reeds. I submitted the photos to a couple of professors and the unanimous vote was this was a wildcat, one of the professors said it could be a domestic hybrid. It's been 16 years since and I would like iNaturalist's take on it as well.
