I'm somewhat sure this is mysticum since queens were flying, but I'm having trouble distinguishing from M. rogeri. The clypeus looks round enough for mysticum...
Extracted from under the bark of a dead log. Log had been pointed out to me by Fielisy "Fidel" Bemaheva, who is an extremely knowledgeable old hand at Madagascar ants.

Found underneath loose bark on the main trunk, 20m up in a tree. Others noted that they were found underneath trunk bark at ground level as well.

Hundreds of these disgusting little things inside a dead Plain-Bellied Water Snake, and definitely the cause of death. One of them bit me, and now I’m freaking out. I can handle any snake, spider, insect, but parasitic worms are the one thing I absolutely cannot handle!
